Get Involved

BCCYMCA has an amazing network of dedicated volunteers who support our work year-round. We have both short-term and longer-term volunteer opportunities.

BCCYMCA Ambassadors Program

Coming soon! BCCYMCA is forming a volunteer group to engage alumni and parents in supporting our work year-round. Ambassadors will support BCCYMCA throughout the year, connecting with new camp families, spreading the word about regional alumni gatherings and helping us develop our career networking initiative. Stay tuned to hear more about this program.

Host a Home Visit

We are always looking for families who’ve benefited from our programs and want to help us spread the joy of camp to new families. Throughout the Fall and early Spring, camp staff are on the road stopping in areas around the US to promote camp. Email Shannon Donovan-Monti at sdonovan-monti@bccymca.org if you’re interested and able to host camp staff and prospective families in your home.

Deeds of Love & Service

Each Fall, camp Alumni, parents, and friends gather in cities across the US in honor of the Becket-Chimney Corners spirit, to give back to their local communities. Host volunteers help organize service projects in their area and camp will help spread the word to our greater camp community. View our events page for more information about this event and how to get involved.

Emily has joined the year-round team after five years of being a seasonal summer staff member. A local resident, Emily enjoys the changes of pace that the seasons bring to the Berkshires. In the colder months, she enjoys crocheting, cooking, and baking. In the warmer months, she enjoys hiking and exploring with her husband and three kids (when they aren’t at Chimney!) You can also find her reading or painting whenever she finds the time. In the workplace, she prides herself on her organization and drive for efficiency. Her favorite part about camp is making connections with so many friends from all over the world. Emily looks forward to getting to know more camp families and colleagues in her new role!
