Financial Assistance

Applying for Campership

Each summer, Becket-Chimney Corners YMCA gives out over $1,000,000 in financial assistance to help families with the payment of tuition. These funds support our Tiered Pricing program as well as campership awards. Please read on for information about the application process for the camp you’re applying to.

Chimney Corners & Camp Becket

Families who intend to apply for campership should select the Tier 5 payment during the enrollment process and submit a financial aid application via our financial aid system (SSS) by November 1st. After this date, we will make awards on a rolling basis as our funds allow.

If you are applying to camp after November 1st you will have 30 days to complete your financial aid application in SSS.

A new campership application with the most current supporting financial documentation is required each year. Campership is awarded based on financial need. We start granting awards in December and do our best to have a timely turnaround, which is dependent on families ensuring all their application materials are complete.

*Note that financial aid for Travel & Service Programs is only awarded to participants who have attended Chimney Corners Camp or Camp Becket for at least one summer.

This camp must comply with the regulations of the Massachusetts Department of Public Health and be licensed by the local Board of Health.
