WHY BECKET DAY CAMP?

Becket Day Camp is an ideal program for campers seeking fun activities and meaningful relationships in an outdoor camp environment. The full-day program offers a range of exciting experiences, including swimming and canoeing, arts and crafts, sports and games, and all camp group activities and fun throughout the week.

With its diverse range of activities, Becket Day Camp is the perfect opportunity for kids to have fun, make new friends, and create unforgettable memories in a beautiful natural setting.

About the Program

Becket Day Camp offers a variety of program activities appropriate to each camper’s age and ability. Campers look forward to a combination of exciting activities with their group, as well as individual choice periods each day for our oldest campers.

While our activities change slightly from summer to summer, here’s a sampling of what you might expect out of your camp experience:

Our Staff

Every summer, we hire staff from around the world to join our team. We look for staff with positive attitudes, strong work ethics, caring personalities, and a passion for working with children. Many of our staff return for multiple summers, bringing with them a sense of tradition, while our new staff members are a great source of energy and fresh ideas.

In addition to the seasonal staff, we have a dedicated team of professionals who work here year-round to ensure that each summer at Becket Day Camp is better than the last.

Camp - It’s So Much More Than Day Care!

Camp provides a unique opportunity for children to grow and develop both emotionally and socially. At Becket Day Camp, campers of all ages will find fun activities that challenge their teamwork abilities, help them develop problem- solving skills, and learn about the world around them. With mentorship from our counselors, children can improve their leadership qualities and build meaningful relationships with their peers.

Emily has joined the year-round team after five years of being a seasonal summer staff member. A local resident, Emily enjoys the changes of pace that the seasons bring to the Berkshires. In the colder months, she enjoys crocheting, cooking, and baking. In the warmer months, she enjoys hiking and exploring with her husband and three kids (when they aren’t at Chimney!) You can also find her reading or painting whenever she finds the time. In the workplace, she prides herself on her organization and drive for efficiency. Her favorite part about camp is making connections with so many friends from all over the world. Emily looks forward to getting to know more camp families and colleagues in her new role!
