What to Bring To Camp

You will be sent a complete list of what to bring to camp in the early spring but here is a list to get you started.

Clothing* • Plan on at least a 12-day supply
  • Jeans/pants/sweatpants (a mix is good)
  • Shorts
  • Shirts (a mix of short and long sleeves good)
  • Sweatshirts/Sweaters
  • Underwear
  • Socks* (required so send plenty)
  • Pajamas
  • Bathing Suits - Swim suits must be one piece or athletic cut two-piece suits. No swim wear that will not stay in place during strenuous activity will be allowed.
  • Sneakers (2 pairs if you have them)
  • Rain Boots
  • Rain coat or poncho
  • Jackets – 1 light and 1 warmer
  • Hat with brim
  • For Chapel: Dress, skirt, or nicer pant/shorts
Miscellaneous
  • Trunk or Footlocker* (no taller than 16 inches so it can fit under any bunk bed)
  • Pen/Stationery/Stamps
 (Pre-addressed envelopes are great)
  • Photos/posters/stuffed animals/books
  • Battery Powered Lantern
  • Flashlight(s) with extra batteries
  • Day Pack or Back Pack
  • Water Bottles* (2 required)
Bedding/Linens
  • Sheets – 2 sets of twin-size sheets
  • Blankets – 2-3 warm, 1 light
  • Pillow and 2 pillow cases
  • Sleeping Bag with stuff sack
  • Towels – 6 – a mix of bath and beach
  • Face Cloths – 3
  • Laundry Bag
Toiletries & Self Care Items
  • Toothbrushes, toothpaste, floss
  • Hair care: Shampoo, conditioner, Hairbrush/Comb, hair ties, headbands
  • Soap or body wash
  • Deodorant
  • Bug Repellent
  • Sunscreen (15+ SPF)
  • Eyeglasses case and/or extra glasses if worn
  • Medications (must be dropped off with the nurses on opening day)
  • Extra medication bottle (see Medications section)
  • Pail or container to carry toiletries
  • Feminine hygiene products (if necessary)
Optional but useful items
  • Water Shoes
  • Swim Goggles
  • Sunglasses
  • Clothes pins / Clothes hangers
  • Camping-type chair or Crazy Creek
  • Hiking Boots
  • Bathrobe
  • Rain pants
  • Costumes/dress-up clothes
  • Journal
  • Bins for storage
  • Camera & Film or digital camera
  • Sports Equipment
  • Musical Instrument
  • Protective/safety equipment for sports
  • Bed foam pad or mattress cover
  • Wrist Watch

Specialty Cabin items

Riding Cabin:

  • Riding Boots
  • Riding Helmet

Construction Cabin:

  • Hammer: 16-18 oz. steel shank straight claw
  • Measuring Tape: 25 foot, retractable
  • Tool Belt with hammer holster, nail pouch, and measuring tape holder
  • Work Boots or hard toe shoes (steel toe not necessary)
  • Jeans or sturdy work pants – 2-3 pairs
