Meet our 2016 Staff


Christina Kollisch is a Massachusetts native who graduated from U-Mass Amherst with a degree in Sustainable Food and Farming and Italian language studies. This is her third year working with our Summer Leadership Program and she is excited to be working at Nessacus. When she’s not reading or doing arts and crafts, she’s listening to Beyonce and making friends.


Libby Gutschenritter grew up in Wayland MA and is going into her 14th summer at camp. When she’s not in the beautiful Berkshires, she leads the Math Department at a performing arts High School in the Bronx. She graduated from Hamilton College in 2013, and got her Masters from Relay Graduate School of Education in 2015. When she’s not doing math all day, she enjoys going to see plays, cooking different kinds of pasta, solving Rubik's cubes in less than a minute, and escaping the city to go hiking and skiing.


Hi. My name is Briana O'Neill but the majority of the world calls me Brie. I was born in New Jersey but raised in the great state of Ohio. I went to Xavier University in Cincinnati, OH with a Bachelor's in Liberal Arts with a concentration in Human Occupation. In the fall, I am starting a Master's in experiential education at Springfield College while working with Berkshire Outdoor Center. Previously I have been a camp counselor and program staff for kids and adults with disabilities. I just finished a year of teaching academic, social skills and every-day living to kids with severe autism. In my down time I enjoy playing soccer, hiking, hanging out with my fiancé in Amherst and other awesome people I have met.


Michael Hall has been working in outdoor education for five years in both Australia and the USA. When not guiding trips or facilitating groups he i found on the side of rocks climbing or hiking the wilderness. He has also recently discovered skiing and is keen to continue exploring a winter sport after so many year of constant summer. Inside he enjoys fixing or building things or producing anything edible.


Siddhesh completed his Master's in Clinical Psychology and has discovered his passion for Experiential Education. Currently he is exploring adventure based education. He hails from the Sayhadri Hills region of India, about 250 miles south of Bombay.


Renee from Bristol, UK. She studied Choreography and Dance at The University of Winchester and taught Dance at Chimney Corners Camp for the past two summers. She has worked for Berkshire Outdoor Center in the Spring and Fall and discovered an interest in outdoor education. She loves contemporary dance and spontaneous dance parties.


David Sawyer hails from Springfield, Massachusetts originally but goes to college at Stonehill College in Boston. He is studying Psychology with a minor in Communications. His favorite foods are sushi and pizza. When he’s not studying he’s probably doing something active like kayaking, bike riding or hiking. This is David’s seventh summer working with youth.


Zachary Whiting graduated from the University of New Hampshire with a degree in Outdoor Education which has enabled him to do two things thathe loves in being active outside and working with kids. He has been leading kids on outdoor adventures for several years all over the United States and also in New Zealand. Zachary enjoys exploring new places through hiking and canoeing the most and loves to play ice hockey and throw around a Frisbee.

Zachary also doubles as our 2016 Director of Berkshire Happy Camp.


Emma Corwin is a recent graduate of Wheaton College (MA) where shemajored in Music and French Studies. She has been working with children for almost ten years in a variety of disciplines including gymnastics, leadership, and most recently outdoor education. Outdoor education has enabled her to explore her passion for working with children in the setting that she loves most: the great outdoors! When she’s not at work you can catch her jamming out on piano or ukulele, doing handstands, or frolicking in the wilderness.


Cody Randell from Palmerston North, New Zealand. He has worked in the outdoors for over 6 years, teaching sailing, climbing, mountain biking andropes courses. Cody enjoys long walks on the beach and getting caught in the rain. His other hobbies include Rugby, Rugby League, Touch Rugby and watching Rugby.

Cody also doubles as a 2016 BOC Assistant Program Coordinator.
