Elected 2012 (with eleven years prior board service)
Amy Hurwitz Gutschenritter, a CCC alumna and former staffer, returned to the Board of Trustees having completed ten years of service in 2010 when she was Board Chair. Amy has over twenty-five years of experience as a senior executive in global financial institutions, based in the US and Europe. Amy has held leadership roles in Client Management and Business Development, Operations, Technology and Credit. Amy earned her Bachelor’s in Psychology and Economics from Tufts University and an M.B.A from Bentley University.
Amy is a Becket and CCC parent—her children have collectively spent over 25 summers at Camp. Libby, a high school Math teacher in the Bronx, most recently worked as a CCC LIT Leader and Research Associate for the Berkshire Outdoor Center. Matthew, a senior at Bowdoin College, was Ranger Village Director in 2015. “My children have benefited from the same character building experiences and made lifelong friendships like I did over thirty-years ago. They are confident young leaders—setting challenging goals for themselves and they are now giving back to their communities. Without question, BCC has changed our family’s lives for good.”
Amy and her family have made Becket-Chimney Corners YMCA and the Berkshire Outdoor Center their top philanthropic priority to ensure that our facilities and programs continue for future generations providing people the chance to learn and grow in a supportive and character building environment.
