Teamwork, community, leadership and perseverance are the major lessons that Barbara has seen instilled in her two sons over their careers at Camp Becket. Barbara works as a public health physician and chief medical officer with Porter Novelli, a global strategic communications firm. She has done extensive consulting on issues of public health, served on several health policy boards, and her work has been honored by the CDC and Pfizer. Barbara believes strongly in the camps' commitment to service, and she volunteers on the board to give back to a place that has helped her sons and now her nephews grow into young men.
