We have programs for children of all ages and abilities at Becket Day Camp. We pride ourselves on our non-competitive environment, where kids can be kids and enjoy the summer outdoors.
We have created the following programs targeted at specific age groups:
A program for the little ones who have not yet been to kindergarten, this program is perfect for children who may be away from mom or dad for the first time. It's a fabulous combination of indoor and outdoor activities, and it runs from 9am to 1pm.
A program for children who have graduated kindergarten through 7th grade. Within this program, we divide children into age groups, so they will be with other children their own age. This is a full day program.
This is a brand new program for young teens who are graduating from 8th and 9th grade. This program includes all the fun activities that the other kids participate in, but as a teen group. These teens will also have the opportunity to develop leadership skills by participating in low ropes and Alpine Tower programs. They will also have the opportunity to give back to the community through service.
This program is for older teens who are graduating from 10th and 11th grade and are looking to develop staff skills, with the goal of returning to Becket Day Camp as staff. Our LITs will learn skills from our LIT Director, but most of their education will come from hands-on leadership - planning, developing and running activities under 1:1 staff supervision for our Explorer Program participants.
