Jack Sharry
Westwood, MA
Chief Volunteer Officer (2010-2012)
Elected 2004

Jack can still remember meeting the Kaskaskia cabin counselor as he dropped his oldest son in Frontier Village for his first summer at Becket. The young man showed such confidence, self-assurance and conviction that Jack and his wife were instantly assured that their son was in good hands. How right they were. Jack's three younger sons followed the oldest to Becket, through TSP, and into a myriad of staff and leadership roles beyond. All four of his sons' now young men-wholeheartedly agree that the years with the Becket-Chimney Corners YMCA comprise some of the greatest growth experiences of their lives. Jack has spent many years as a corporate executive in the financial services industry, before taking a role as principal with a start-up in the financial services software business, and Jack currently chairs the board of trustees as the Chief Volunteer Officer. Because of the important place camp has in his family's hearts, Jack volunteers in order to ensure that the opportunities that so significantly affected his own sons' lives will be available to generations to come.
