San Rafael, CA Elected 2008 (with ten years prior board service)
For Jim, Becket and Chimney Corners are synonymous with "family." He began at Camp Becket as a camper in 1964 and in the ensuing years, he has occupied just about every staff and volunteer role imaginable. He credits camp as the place he truly learned to "realize the value of people" a trait that he relies on in his career as a management consultant specializing in people and organizations. With over 40 years of his life spent associated with Becket-Chimney Corners YMCA, Jim feels that his experiences with the camps have been life-changing. As a board volunteer, he strives to ensure that those same life-changing opportunities will always be available for others to experience.
